I work on topics related to global justice including human rights, international criminal law, just war theory, transitional justice, the responsibility to protect, and cosmopolitan implications of democratic theory. In December 2011, I received a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder, where I was awarded one of its highest honors, the Thomas Jefferson Award. I have instructed or assisted teaching courses on human rights, political theory, international relations, and comparative politics.
